Incoming and Outgoing mail server change – Macmail

In case you want to change the hostname for incoming and outgoing mail and you use Macmail, follow the instructions describe below:

1. Open the apoo and click Mail and Preferences.

2. Click on your Account (1), at Incoming Mail Server delete the records and enter the temporary host name eg linux77.papaki.gr and choose Edit smtp server list from the drop down menu (2).

3. In the server name field delete the record and enter the temporary host name eg linux77.papaki.gr

Τhe hostname can be found in the hosting activation email with the subject "Web Hosting Activation - Account Login Information" and more specifically in the field "FTP Access Information" and "Temporary Hostname" as appears in the following image:
